Steve’s radio career…so far

His time in the industry includes high-profile presenting roles on morning (breakfast) shows on Metro FM, TFM, Andover Sound, Newbury Sound , JACK fm and The Breeze.

Starting on hospital radio in Oxford while still at school, Steve’s big break was joining Metro FM in Newcastle-upon-Tyne aged just 17.

He progressed from overnights to evenings and afternoon-drive. He then moved to the prestigious breakfast show at the age of 23.

A move to TFM Radio followed and his time in North East England ended with a year at Magic 1170 before a desire to move back to the South took him to FOX FM in Oxford.

Next, was a morning show at Power FM on the South Coast, part of the Capital Radio Group. He stayed in the same building but moved to afternoon-drive on Ocean FM in 2002.

It was at Ocean that Steve began a 7-year run hosting his legendary Skool Daze show which also became a live event.

Steve then moved to the small-market station Andover Sound, becoming its Programme Controller and Breakfast Show presenter.
